January 2011

There are a lot of parts on the 1954 Corvette that I will not need to build the Motorama Car. Just a few are the after market hard top, trunk lid, windshield and frame, side curtain windows, engine, rear end, and a lot more. I think you get the idea. So I decided to sell the items that I will not need to help pay for this project. The Motorama Car will have a 327 cid with 300hp and air condition, so that means it will be a 12 volt car instead of a 6 volt car the 54 Corvette is. Well after buying the car on 12-29-2010 it is now 1-11-11 and all the parts that will not be needed are sold. This will help pay for the motor, paint, sand blasting the frame and powder coating, interior etc. You get the idea. This will not be an easy or cheap car to build but with the help of Brett Henderson owner of Blue Flame Restoration it should go fairly smooth. Blue Flame restoration mainly restores 1953 thru 1955 Corvettes to Bloomington Gold and NCRS Top Flight standards. With his guidance and help I know this car will be outstanding. Brett will be building one at the same time also. This will be great. Two 54 Corvair Motorama Cars. I am sure that when they are finished they will be in a car magazine or two.
